Sans être aussi médiatisé que Björk,  Ásgeir a rejoint le nombre limité des artistes islandais connus  en France, avec les expérimentateurs intergalactiques de Sigur Rós et la bande de pop optimiste de Of Monsters and Men.

Son truc à lui, c’est la mélodie parfaite, qui sonne instantanément comme un classique, la mélancolie élégante, l’accord parfait avec les paysages de son pays qui lui a inspiré le sublime Heimförink, également enregistré en anglais sous le titre Going Home.

Although not as high-profile as Björk, Ásgeir has joined the limited number of Icelandic artists known in France, along with the intergalactic experimenters of Sigur Rós and the upbeat pop band Of Monsters and Men.

His thing is the perfect melody, instantly sounding like a classic, the elegant melancholy, the perfect match with the landscapes of his country, which inspired the sublime Heimförink, also recorded in English under the title Going Home.
