Collection: books

With Erlendur, his character of a depressive investigator, Arnaldur Indriðason brought Icelandic literature into bookstores from its darkest side and, frankly, quite disconnected from social reality.

Since then, Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir (Rosa Candida) and Jón Kalman Stefánsson (Your Absence Is Only Darkness) have also made their way into our media space, but Icelandic literary production is still much broader and more diverse.

At the Ísland gallery, these books from my library are available for browsing, picking, and discussion... And if you're interested, they're on the shelves of the city's excellent bookstores.

But others are on sale, arriving directly from an Icelandic publisher and distributor, and you won't find them anywhere else: photography, history, tales, humor. Take the opportunity to discover Icelandic legends, landscapes, and little peculiarities.
