Composer and pianist Tómas Jónsson accompanied Asgeir on one of his extensive international tours.

He has been pursuing a solo career since 2016. His instrumentals create uneasy atmospheres, laced with sounds of space (vintage science fiction) or, on Að Komast Burt, The City of Reykjavik , they take on a jazzy and twisted 70s New York thriller atmosphere, with the help of the sampled voice of Sigfús Daðason (a leading poet of the Icelandic modernist movement). Further on, Pink Floyd-style choirs bathe Psychopipe in a brief clearing before a final Hefðarfólk Í Skrúðgarði which fades into a sweet nostalgia.
