Young Axel Flóvent is one of those Icelanders who set off to discover the world... and come back. After the international success of his song Forest Fires -he was barely 19 years old at the time- he moved to Amsterdam where he was bored stiff, migrated to Brighton, a British seaside resort known for its artistic vitality, and returned to Reykjavík to record his first album, You Stay by the Sea.

Her melancholic, perfectly harmonic pop is not revolutionary but soft to the ear and her velvet voice plays with fine and elegant arrangements.
