Keen to make his texts (written by his father) accessible to as many people as possible , Ásgeir had already re-recorded his first album Dýrð í dauðaþögn (2013) in English, became In the Silence for its continental distribution.
Following the same principle, Sátt (published in 2020, with his own lyrics this time) is the original version of Bury the moon , the two versions being brought together here in a double album. You can therefore choose to lull yourself to the gravelly melody of the Icelandic or listen to their translation.
Bury the Moon is also the album that established the conquest of the public, far beyond Iceland, by the prince of melancholic folk (he is one of the rare singers or groups programmed in France).
Among the gems of this album, Myndir ( Pictures ), Bernskan ( Youth ) and Sátt ( Turn Gold to Sand ).
