Jón Kalman Stefansson's novel trilogy adapted into a radio series

With the trilogy Between Heaven and Earth, The Sadness of Angels and The Heart of Man , Jón Kalman Stefánsson has conquered a place of choice on the shelves of bookstores, dethroning (finally) with Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir ( Rosa Candida ) the monopoly of crime writers on Icelandic literature translated into French.

France Culture is broadcasting a version of the three stories in 18 episodes , another way of entering the poetic, epic and sometimes metaphysical universe of the multi-award-winning author, notably for D'ailleurs, les poissons n'ont pas de pieds (2013).

Between Heaven and Earth has also been translated directly from Icelandic into Breton by Mich Beyer and Ólöf Pétursdóttir. Baradoz hag ifern is available from Ísland (ed. An Alarc'h, €12).
